UPDATE ON ID's FOR THE DISABLED IN NJ

On Sunday, October 10, 2010 I posted a blog for Disabled kids to have a Photo ID after getting a response from the Director of the Dept. of Human Services at that time.  I wrote a letter asking for disabled clients to have ID's for identification, in a nutshell.  I received a response that it was impossible and too costly, also, in a nutshell.

But now, we are getting closer for a NJ State ID for the Disabled through a Bill being developed:

A 4662

New Jersey Assembly Bill
Provides for DOH to issue identification card to person with autism or intellectual or developmental disability to help emergency responders with recognition and response techniques.
