I hope everyone is having a Very Happy Thanksgiving. This is a day to be grateful for our
blessings and especially our children with disabilities. They give us a special love no other can
give. They can be a joy and give us
comfort and warmth.
As difficult as it is to care for them and meet their needs,
we do our best to make sure they are well taken care of in every aspect of
their lives. This is self-fulfilling in
itself. When we accomplish our goals for
our special needs children, we feel rewarded.
Taking time to reflect on all the positive things we have
achieved and recognizing every small step of improvement our special children
have made will give us more optimism about the future.
Spending the holiday with family or with just your disabled child
can be very enjoyable. As exhausting as
it is to cook a big meal and the clean up is even more tiring, our memories of
our time spent together will always be cherished.
Enjoy your Holiday with
Family and Friends and especially with your children with disabilities.
Happy Thanksgiving !
